Mission Atmanirbhar

Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan also known as the Self Reliant India Mission is a program made just to make people get dependent on themselves. i.e. be careful, vigilant, closely monitor everything, and follow the rules of engagement in such a pandemic named the “novel- Corona Virus” or COVID-19. On 12th may 2020 our Hon’ble Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has addressed our nation with a mission to make our nation and its people atmanirbhar because for the recent four months the global community is still in a fight against coronavirus and for the future of India and the post-pandemic period we have to rebuilt and boost our economy, technology, and nation. India currently holds a loss of 10-12lakh crore a month. i.e. approx 70 to 84 lakh crore till now so that’s why the income tax collection was also been extended to November 30, 2020. So as a time where the whole world is destroyed due to virus, our helpful prime minister is supporting and helping us by making this mission implemented for India’s better future after lockdown.

Generally, this economic stimulus program aims at cutting down imports, making India work self-reliant, and focus on substitutes of those imported products. Focusing on improving the quality and safety of Make in India products and try to go global and make a good global positioning is what the way ahead for India is after the lockdown ends. Our prime minister had also declared a package of 20 lakh crore for this program which aims at converting crises into opportunities. This self-reliance doesn’t mean the traffic escalation, MRTP days of pre-liberalization. This is projected to enter global markets and promote local products of India and complete their dreams of new India. This program also gave support to the Make in India program by boosting opportunities from crises and focusing on making local products.

There are 5 pillars of this mission; they are Economy, Infrastructure, System, Demography, and Demand. Focusing on these pillars would help India grow faster and become stable quickly after lockdown and make a competitive position in global markets. Nirmala Sitharaman, the Finance Minister of India, in her speech, said that this Abhiyan is important for increasing economic growth. A self- reliable India doesn’t mean an isolated India but a confident India. Also in this mission, an amount transfer of Rs. 41 crore and 18000 crore grains were transferred to Jan Dhan accounts and old people accounts because we should not forget that we also have a responsibility towards the poor, needy, the migrant workers, “divyang”, and the aged people of the country. Supporting MSME’S is the biggest objective of this mission and make them popular.

However, the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan mission proves to be important for the economic revival and progress of the Indian economy during and after lockdown. India as a nation has gone through a huge loss due to COVID-19 lockdown, and overcoming it is necessary for longer survival. Our PM by implementing this Abhiyan has given India a new way to go ahead and start stabilizing its economy and make superior technology again. At last, I would say it’s the way India should now go on and heal their situations of crises and rise again like a new India, a Self Reliable India, and a Confident India.
